New WEF Global Competitiveness Rankings Published

The NCC has published a Competitiveness Bulletin summarizing Ireland's performance in the latest World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Index Report.

Defining competitiveness as the set of institutions, policies and factors that determine the level of productivity of a country, GCI scores are calculated by drawing together country-level data covering 114 indictors. The World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Competitiveness Report 2017-2018 provides an assessment of the factors driving productivity and prosperity across 137 countries. In the 2017/2018 report, Ireland is ranked 24th, out of 137 countries a fall of 1 place from last year.
